Today we hosted the World Water Week AtHome session ‘Innovative Finance for Scaling Effective SDG 6 Solutions’. The session was very successful, attracting around 250 participants from various countries and companies.
The aim of this session was to learn more about emerging financial innovations in the water and sanitation sector by talking to key players in the water, business, finance and impact investment sector. To set the scene, the session began with an introduction to Aqua for All by our Managing Director, Josien Sluijs. Her presentation was followed by a round of presentations from partners/like-minded organisations: Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), Roots of Impact, Take-a-Stake Fund, Incofin Investment Management together with Danone Communities, WASTE/FINISH Mondial and Water.org. All organisations presented interesting business cases regarding financial innovations that can help accelerate access to finance for water and sanitation in the developing world.
If you missed the session, you can view the live recording here and you can access the deck used for the session here.
