Our Annual Report 2022: Another year of creating impact and change

2022 was an impactful year for Aqua for All;

We more than doubled our portfolio by adding 24 new initiatives and by the end of the year our Making Water Count portfolio increased to 118 initiatives contracted, which largely exceeded our initial 2019 forecast. These initiatives include seven blended partnerships with local and global banks, impact investors and private funds that will contribute to mobilising more investments in water and sanitation.

Our 2022 report features Bhumijo, an enterprise offering smart sanitation solutions to low-income communities in Bangladesh, and it shares key impact results of our partnership with Sidian Bank to facilitate SME lending for WASH enterprises in Kenya. Our third initiative highlighted in the report focuses on the business acceleration programmes we developed in partnership with ForthInvestment in Burkina Faso.

In this report, we share our view on addressing climate change and providing technical and financial support to water and sanitation enterprises for mitigation, adaptation and resilience-building measures.

We are proud of what we achieved in 2022, and very grateful for the trust and support of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, our strategic and implementing partners, consultants and especially the entire Aqua for All team.
